Weekly Update April 25-29, 2016

It's already Wednesday today! There's not a lot going on this week except for Kinder Grad & Spring Photos on Thursday and Friday.


Wednesday: Today was a beautiful day for the school yard clean-up! The students joined their Family Groups and collected several bags of garbage. Our yard looks beautiful - thank you, everyone!

Thursday & Friday: Kinder Grad and Spring Photos today. Kindergarten students will be taking both a Kinder Grad photo and a Spring Photo.

Thursday, April 28th - AAP, T/Th Mrs. Kubik, Mrs. Haugan, Miss Richards, Mrs. Elgert,
Mrs. Clarke, Mrs. Peters, Pre-K, Mr. Mackiewich, Mrs. Peterson, and Miss Titus

Friday, April 29th - M/W Mrs. Kubik, Miss Hewitt/Mrs. Hoover, Mrs. Hannon, Miss Taylor,
Mrs. Mitchell, Mrs. Chapman, and Miss Piquette

Friday: Several special guests will be attending our school-wide assembly this morning to congratulate us on our Environmental Achievement Award. The assembly will begin at 8:45 am; parents are welcome to attend.

Pizza by the Slice!! Send your child(ren) with a toonie or two in the morning so they can have a slice of pizza for lunch. Pepperoni, Cheese, and Hawaiian pizza is available.


Education Week is the week of May 2-6 and we have a lot of fun activities planned for the students:

Tuesday, May 3 - There will be a Book Exchange set up for the students this day. We are asking students to donate their gently used books to exchange for a new, gently used books. For every 2 books your child donates they will receive one back. All remaining books will be sold for $0.10 or $0.25 and the proceeds will be donated to the Stollery Children's Hospital.

Wednesday, May 4 - Hats on for Mental Health Day; Jump Rope for Heart Kick-off assembly

Friday, May 6 - PJ DAY and the Stuffie Walk! We are also asking students to donate their gently used stuffies. The students will then have a chance to win other gently used stuffies by playing the games that will be set up in the gym. Each game is $0.25. All proceeds will be donated to the Stollery Children's Hospital.
